Tetrachem is highly experienced in the decontamination of flare systems including piping, drums and flare stacks. Our Entry Safe™ eliminates any benzene, LEL, hydrogen sulphide and pyrophoric iron sulfide. Careful planning is required to successfully decontaminate a flare system to avoid re-contamination and minimize injection points.
We are experienced in treating entire flare systems and have multiple chemistries to treat both drums containing sludge, and long piping systems with minimum access points. The chemistry is chosen based on pre-engineering with the customer to determine utility availability, temperature limits, and targeted contaminants. A plan is then constructed with chemistry and application selections to reduce time, limit injection points, and treat all contaminants. After treatment, the units will be ready for entry and hot work without the need for fresh air.
